About this lab

Gymnosperm ko samajhne ke liye 3D model rotate karke vascular sporophyte, reduced gametophytes aur pollen tube examine karo. Pinus ke compact male aur female cones ke saath Cycas ke compact male cone aur loose female crown bhi compare karo, jahan naked seed aur strobili ki arrangement clear dikhti hai.

What you're seeing

Gymnosperm ki sabse badi pehchan vascular sporophyte aur naked seeds hain. Pinus ke male aur female cones me microsporophylls aur megasporophylls arrange hote hain, jabki Cycas ke female megasporophylls compact cone ke bajaye loose crown banate hain. Male aur female gametophytes reduced hote hain aur sporophyte par depend karte hain. Pollen tube ovule tak pahunchta hai, jiske baad male gamete bante hain aur zygote se embryo develop hota hai.

Key NEET facts

Gymnosperm body: Vascular, sporangia-bearing sporophyte
Female arrangement: Pinus: strobilus; Cycas: loose crown
Male arrangement: Microsporophylls arranged in male strobili
Gametophytes: Reduced and dependent
Naked seed: No pericarp
Seed fruit wall se covered nahi hota, isliye use naked seed kaha jaata hai.

Memory trick

Gymnosperm ko yaad rakho: vascular plant, sporangia-bearing sporophyte, male strobili, reduced gametophytes, aur naked seed. Female structures compact strobili in Pinus but a loose crown of megasporophylls in Cycas. Pollen tube ke baad zygote embryo banata hai aur ovule seed banata hai.
